Who made this thing?
The Fintech Map started as side project by Lee Easton, founder of iDENTIFY. They were already working with a number of sponsor banks and kept having to recall what programs, processors, and banks worked together.
How can I call out bad data?
This is a VERY important question. We need your help improving the data quality of our map. Our goal is to make this as open-sourced as possible. We are building our team of industry leaders to act as moderators. For now, please submit a contact form and include within that form the issue you see with the data. We'll get it reviewed, validated, and updated as soon as possible.
How can I contribute new data?
You must first sign up to contribute new data. Once you get your "magic link" to your email address, you can refresh your map in the browser and you will remain logged in. You now have an "edit" button that shows up when clicking a bank, processor or fintech. In addition to the edit button within the map interface, there is a FORM you can fill out to submit a new data request. You'll be notified via email once approved.
How are you getting your data?
From amazing folks like you... well, kind of. We are blessed by the amazing engineers at iDENTIFY. They have built out some infrastructure to scrape data from various Fintech publications, databases, the FDIC API, and other sources to bring the data together. If you know of any reliable sources, please drop some info on our contact page HERE.
What does the signup process look like for paid subscribers?
- Sign up as Data Explorer or Data Owner.
- Fill out the Sign up form.
- Please complete your payment to finish the signing up.
- Successful payment. Please check your email to confirm your subscription.
- You will receive confirmation email with an URL to access your dashboard.
